Bingo vom Ellendonk was born Oct. 29, 1977 and ten years later when he passed, there was a consensus that Bingo was the top working Dobermann of his era. Still today, Bingo vom Ellendonk is considered ONE OF the all time best, if not THE greatest working Dobermann ever. One thing that also set Bingo apart was his ability to genetically pass on his great working character, even when bred to a bitch whose character left much to be desired. Our "von Asgard" Working Dobermann Kennel has for thirty years been utilizing Bingo's outstanding genetics in our breeding, right up to the present time. Bingo and his most famous working sons and grandsons make up a large part of "von Asgard" Working Dobermann Kennel's breeding program.
The German Dobermann, Bingo vom Ellendonk amassed a track record that will take some doing to ever equal. Here is a list of his major accomplishments:
- SchH III, IPO III, FH - Angek. ZVA 1A - DV Lstsg. (German National Working Dobermann Champion) 1977 - DV Vize Lstsg. (German National Working Dobermann Vice Champion) 1978, 1979, 1980 & 1981 - FCI (European All Breed Working Championship) Euro Meisterschaft 1978 & 1979 - DHV (German All Breed Working Championship) 1979 - Nordrhein Prufungs (German Regional) Working Champion 1981 & 1982.
There was a saying about Bingo . . . . one that included another great Dobermann, Ali von Langenhorst. The saying translated from the German goes like this: "Breed to Bingo for HARDNESS; Breed ti Ali for FIRE". Dobermanns line-bred on both Bingo v. Ellendonk & Ali v. Langenhorst accounted for the vast majority of the German National Working Championship winners, and still influances working pedigrees today!
